When we look at our country as a whole, healthcare workers living in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and other major cities may occasionally have to contend with certain challenges. However, the situation is somewhat different in smaller cities.
Use of Medical Uniforms in Small Towns
Healthcare professionals who are newly appointed or in their first few years of service may experience some adaptation problems when working in small towns. In small towns, locals generally know each other and have their own unique ways of communicating that outsiders may find difficult to understand. Healthcare professionals working in small towns may initially feel like outsiders in this respect. After all, they find themselves in an unfamiliar or little-known environment, surrounded by people with diverse characteristics they have never encountered before.

Even if individuals don't realize it at the time, locals understand that they are from elsewhere. In small settlements, teachers, doctors, nurses, and similar professions are highly valued. However, despite this high level of importance, the low use of scrubs means that doctors and nurses, in particular, go unnoticed. If the use of nurse and doctor uniforms were properly implemented, healthcare workers would be more easily identified by locals, and the respect shown to them would increase. As a result, the difficulties healthcare workers face in adapting could be easily overcome.
